The Lovelace Math Circle is dedicated to bridging the gender gap in STEM fields, particularly mathematics. We encourage girls to not only exceed at the level of mathematics offered in their schools but also to excel in math competitions, a community where girls are heavily underrepresented. Our unique approach emphasizes creative learning, problem-solving, exploration, and collaboration instead of rote memorization without understanding. We incentivize students by awarding those who exhibit the most dedication and effort in their classes. With classes available for all levels, from Common Core to early AIME, we aim to show girls that mathematics is not just a subject but an exciting adventure. By offering free, virtual math classes for girls in grades 4-9, we hope to help others realize the true beauty of mathematics and inspire a lifelong love for the field.
